Affordable Rent

Affordable Rental Housing

The CDC works to acquire and rehab dilapidated houses. Once completed, the home is offered as an affordable rental home for area individuals and families. This program ensures individuals have housing, while improving area neighborhoods.

Swing Set Install

Workforce Development

The CDC employs at risk youth and individuals going through substance use disorder recovery. We provide them with paid on the job training, OSHA certifications, CPR and first aid training and more. Once they are ready, we work with area employers to move our participants into meaningful, full-time employment.

Parks and Recreation

We work with area communities to build playgrounds for our area youth and we develop walking trails (such as the Great Guernsey Trail) and open access green space for wildlife enthusiasts. The CDC also owns and maintains nearly 3,000 acres of land for habitat preservation and recreational purposes.

Veterans Van

Rural Transportation

We contract with South East Area Transit to provide door-to-door transportation for individuals to go to medical appointments, work, and recreational activities. Additional, we run our own in house Veterans Transportation Service which provides door-to-door medical transportation services for veterans in Guernsey County.
