Our Mission Statement
The Guernsey County Community Development Corporation, a 501 C3 Non-Profit, shall seek to develop and sponsor specific projects that develop, support and promote the following: economic development directly related to green space and riparian corridor preservation and retention, to include wetlands and floodplains, projects that are directly related to water source protect,  preservation of open space land areas for public outdoor recreation or education or scenic enjoyment, the preservation of historically important land areas or structures, the protection of other natural environmental systems, development of local entrepreneurial inititives, and special projects that assit our Veterans and their Families. All CDC projects are developed to work for and towards the greater economic health and quality of life in Southeastern Ohio.                         

Our History 
The Guernsey County Community Development Corporation was originally formed as the Byesville Area Community Development Corporation in 1995 and it primary operating area was in and around the Village of Byesville. In 2001 the name was changed to the Guernsey County Community Development Corporation, this change was intended to expand the operating area to all of Guernsey County, as well as those areas that are contiguous to our county.
