Projects and Events
- Our yearly banquet was held..
- We installed 8 ramps through our ramp installation program
- Obtained two grants from ODOT to operate our Mobility Management Program and purchase a WC accessible van.
- Built and opened Leatherwood Creek Water Trails
- Completed two rehabs of our affordable rental homes.
- Had 4 individuals complete our INSPIRE workforce development programs
- Updated numerous rental properties
- Removed and rebuilt Willard Tipple Memorial Bridge on the Great Guernsey Trail
- Installed a new swing set at the Byesville Village Park
- Received permit to start building apartments above the office
- Won first place for the Cambridge Christmas Parade (third first place finish)
- Cleared Deerfield pond of evasive species
- Received $4.7 million for the Great Guernsey Trail Extension
- Started building the 3-mile extension of the Great Guernsey Trial
- Two drivers added to the transportation program for a total of 8
- Completed 9,356 up from 8,501 in 2024
- Average of 38.03 trips per day
- Three youth workers completed the CCMEP program
- Completed our Blue Bell Wetland Mitigation Bank
- Repaired several slips along the trail
- Repaired the drainage issue on the new mile of the GGT (near Chester’s Curve)
- Continued to direct races on our trail that brings people to Guernsey County.
- Applied for and received approval for TOD Signage
- Received a grant and a donation (Combined $9,000.00) for interpretive signs on trail
- Purchased 3 newer vans for the transportation program
- Cleaned up 8 illegal dumpsites
- Held our Spring Race with 198 runners, up from 197 in 2024
- Firecracker Race had 283 runners, up from 262 in 2024
- Held our 12ks of Christmas Race with 170 runners, up from 156 in 2024
- Continued collected tires from the public.
- Six-year totals from our cleanup: 53, 107 tires collected, 441.24 tons of illegally dumped material.
- Mow cemeteries for the Village of Fairview, Liberty Township and Wheeling Township. Provided work experience for our workforce development.
